2. Refund Eligibility
Services Eligible for Refund Consideration
- Piano tuning services that do not meet professional standards
- Repair work that fails to address the identified problem
- Refinishing work that does not match agreed-upon specifications
- Services cancelled before work begins (full refund)
Services Not Eligible for Refund
- Services completed to professional standards as agreed upon
- Issues arising from pre-existing piano conditions disclosed during assessment
- Problems caused by environmental factors beyond our control
- Normal wear and settling after service completion
- Customer dissatisfaction with piano's inherent limitations
3. Refund Process
Step 1: Contact Us
If you're not satisfied with our service, please contact us within 30 days of service completion:

Step 2: Assessment
We will schedule a follow-up visit to assess the situation and determine the best course of action.
This assessment is provided at no additional charge.
Step 3: Resolution
Based on our assessment, we will offer one of the following solutions:
- Corrective Service: Additional work to address the issues at no charge
- Partial Refund: Refund portion of payment if partial satisfaction achieved
- Full Refund: Complete refund if service did not meet professional standards
- Alternative Solution: Other mutually agreeable resolution
4. Service-Specific Refund Guidelines
Piano Tuning
- Refund available if piano is not properly tuned to standard pitch
- No refund for pianos that cannot hold tuning due to structural issues
- Retuning provided at no charge within 2 weeks if tuning fails prematurely
Piano Repair
- Refund available if repair does not address the identified problem
- Warranty period applies to all repair work (varies by repair type)
- Additional issues discovered during repair are quoted separately
Piano Refinishing
- Refund available if finish does not match agreed specifications
- Touch-up work provided at no charge for minor imperfections
- Complete refinishing redo in cases of major finish failure
Full Restoration
- Comprehensive warranty covers all aspects of restoration work
- Staged payment system allows for assessment at each phase
- Refund consideration based on completed work phases
5. Refund Timeline
Processing Time
- Assessment: Within 7 business days of contact
- Decision: Within 3 business days of assessment
- Refund Processing: Within 10 business days of approval
- Credit Card Refunds: 3-5 business days to appear on statement
- Check Refunds: 7-10 business days for processing and mailing
6. Warranty Information
Our services come with the following warranty periods:
- Piano Tuning: 30-day stability period
- Minor Repairs: 90-day warranty on parts and labor
- Major Repairs: 6-month warranty on parts and labor
- Refinishing Work: 1-year warranty on finish quality
- Full Restoration: 2-year comprehensive warranty
7. Dispute Resolution
If we cannot reach a mutually satisfactory resolution:
- We encourage open communication to understand your concerns
- Third-party mediation may be considered for complex disputes
- All disputes are subject to Washington State law
- We prefer to resolve issues directly rather than through legal proceedings
8. Prevention and Quality Assurance
To minimize the need for refunds, we:
- Provide detailed estimates and explanations before beginning work
- Communicate any issues or changes during the service process
- Use only quality materials and proven techniques
- Perform quality checks before considering work complete
- Provide care instructions and maintenance recommendations
